I've got them fitted in my car, it’s a simple swap. I've done about 5-6 thousand miles in it since and the car runs spot on. I think it was a worthwhile upgrade, better than the decat.
stux
yep. I paid for the dyno time and everything. The mid-range gains were around 6-7lbs/ft @ 5700-6300rpm and about 5bhp at 7100rpm.
very few cheap mods around will give those sorts of gains for the a7. Even my typhoon didn't get close to that, which cost twice as much and didn't improve my fuel consumption at all.
....and it's been said on here before that the stock 280cc injectors, in a serviceable condition, are good for up to 250/260bhp applications.
I'm not knocking S2000 injectors. i'm sure that they probably are better than ATR injectors and i'd love to see a comparison of how they fare.

With S2000 injectors fitted I'm going to predict improved mid range torque and mid range acceleration with a drop in top end power.

Did a rolling road day last year with 3 standard ecu ATR's. One ran std injectors and two ran S2000 injectors.
The Dyno operator said in his experience, ATR's tend to run a little on the lean side on lower cam and about right on the high cam.
With the extra fueling the S2000 injector cars ran plus 10bhp and plus 15ft/lb over the ATR with standard injectors on lower cam.
The S2000 injector cars ran 10bhp less and 10ft/lb less on the higher cam than the standard injector car.
Both drivers say they can noticably feel the extra pulling power on the lower cam which is good for mid range acceleration.
There was a 4th ATR that ran std ecu, std injectors but also ran an Apexi fuel controller. This car got the highest head line power figure of 227bhp.
Looks like an ATR with S2000 injectors to run more fuel and power mid range coupled with a fuel controller to reduce the over fuelling on the high cam would get the best of both worlds.

The A7 injector is not too bad, but the spray pattern is not ideal for best performance. Honda will have compromised for fuel ecomony over outright performance, and engine life etc. The S2k injector offers a much better spray pattern and a slightly quicker (milliseconds) delivery of fuel. The loss of power in vtec is very very minimal and is right at the end of vtec. i have looked closely at the dyno graphs of that rolling road day and they are filled with flaws and inconsistency.
The operator of that dyno knows very little about the H22 engines and was actually surprised at the lean running before vtec until he had run all the cars and seen that its usual.
I have seen H22 injectors peaking out on dyno's when the correct engine mods are carried out, whereas the S2k injectors run at about 85% duty cycle on same engine.
There are definite benefits to running the S2k injectors but dont just go fitting them to unmodified engines, needs exhaust manifold and induction improvements to benefit properly.
